Key Responsibilities

As a Marine Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in assessing the safety, integrity, and compliance of various marine vessels and structures. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough inspections and assessments of marine vessels, offshore structures, and port facilities.
• Preparing detailed reports documenting findings, and providing recommendations for maintenance and repairs.
• Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Collaborating with ship owners, operators, and other stakeholders to develop risk management strategies.
• Assisting in the investigation of marine incidents and accidents to gather evidence and provide expert opinions.
• Participating in training and workshops to stay updated on the latest industry practices and technological advancements.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Certification as a Marine Surveyor from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine surveying or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of marine safety regulations and industry standards.
• Proficient in report writing and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites, both domestic and international.
