Your Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer at Google, you will be working closely with software developers, IT staff, and product teams to automate and streamline our operations and processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for rapid integration and deployment of software.
- Managing and optimizing cloud services using Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to enhance reliability.
- Automating repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency and reduce error margins.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
- Participating in on-call rotations and incident management processes.
- Driving initiatives around cloud infrastructure automation and scalability.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
