Job Summary

As a Job Machine Shop Technician, you will play a vital role in our production process, working with advanced machinery and tools to produce high-quality components. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that production schedules are met and that our high standards for quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain various machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts that adhere to precise measurements.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve production efficiency.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Document production processes and maintain accurate records of machine operation and maintenance activities.
• Train and mentor junior staff on machine operation and best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training in machining or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
• Proficient in operating CNC and manual machines.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a machine shop setting.
